About the service

Window Film Compare is operated by BLTD, a trading name of Birmingham Property Management and Lettings Ltd (company number 10341210), registered at 40 Popes Lane, Bournville, Birmingham, B30 1AY.

The website helps users describe a window-film project, view initial estimates and choose an installer to contact them. Window Film Compare is a comparison and introduction service. Unless expressly stated otherwise, we do not carry out the installation and are not a party to the installation contract.

Estimates are not final quotations

Prices displayed by the website are initial estimates based on the information entered and the pricing rules available at that time. They are not binding quotations or guarantees. The selected installer must confirm measurements, glass compatibility, film specification, access, travel, VAT treatment and any other site conditions before agreeing a final price.

Your responsibilities

You must provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge, use the service only for genuine enquiries and avoid uploading unlawful, harmful or irrelevant material. You must not attempt to interfere with the website, obtain unauthorised access or use automated methods that place an unreasonable load on the service.

Choosing and contracting with an installer

You decide whether to select an installer and whether to accept any later quotation. Installers are independent businesses responsible for their own advice, surveys, specifications, workmanship, insurance, warranties, legal compliance and customer service. You should satisfy yourself that an installer and proposed product are appropriate before entering into a contract.

Availability and accuracy

We aim to keep the website available and information useful, but we do not promise uninterrupted access or that every description, estimate or provider detail will always be complete or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw parts of the service when reasonably necessary.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to that, we are not responsible for an installer’s acts or omissions, the final installation contract, indirect or consequential loss, or loss caused by inaccurate information supplied by a user or provider.

If you use the service for business purposes, our total liability arising from the comparison service will not exceed £500. Different rights may apply to consumers and these terms do not remove mandatory consumer protections.

Intellectual property

The website, branding, design, copy and software are owned by or licensed to the operator. You may use the website for its intended personal or business enquiry purpose, but may not copy, resell, scrape or commercially exploit it without permission.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights a consumer has to bring a claim elsewhere in the UK.
